Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has said that the Central and State governments are working hand in hand to transform the country.

Asserting his confidence in Maharashtra, he said that under the current leadership, Maharashtra will once again prove itself to be the most industrialised, progressive, and fastest-growing State in the country.

Attending the 4th NICDC Investors’ Roundtable Conference organised by Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited in Mumbai, he said that the Government is committed to keeping logistics costs down and increasing Ease of Doing Business. He assured the Government will do everything to address the requirements of various stakeholders. Making a strong pitch for Industrial Smart Cities like Aurangabad Industrial City – AURIC, he said that the industries coming to these nodes will power the manufacturing sector in the country.

“He said that SMEs are an integral part of the India growth story and that more collaboration and participation will add speed to the growth of this BSE SME exchange. We have more than 100 unicorns, many soonicorns are on the way to becoming unicorns,” Commerce and Industry Ministry.

Mumbai is the place from where we hope the SME sector will get new wings, raise more capital and truly become an international centre enabling more SMEs to ramp up their growth faster, he added.

The representatives of the eight companies which were listed today, traders, investors and industry representatives were present on the occasion. Jaipur City MP Ramcharan Bohra, BSE Chairman SS Mundra and Head of BSE SME and Start-up Platform Ajay Thakur were also present.

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis said, Maharashtra aspires to be a trillion-dollar economy in the next 6 – 7 years. Addressing the investors, he said, the State government has a tailor-made package of incentives for investors and it is also addressing the special needs of the industry.
