Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said it is high time India and Pakistan set aside their hostilities. Talking to newsmen in Balochistan yesterday, he expressed confidence that the spirit of goodwill generated by Mr Narendra Modi’s visit to Lahore will persist. Mr Sharif added that goodwill gestures were the solution to many an ill. The Pakistan Prime Minister thanked Mr Modi for his visit to Lahore last week.
He said, it has been agreed that the dialogue between India and Pakistan will restart adding that progress is being made in bilateral negotiations with India. Mr Sharif’s comments came a day after his Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said foreign secretaries of the two sides will meet in Islamabad on January 14-15 to prepare a schedule of meeting for the comprehensive dialogue covering Jammu and Kashmir and other issues.
