Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Giriraj Singh has expressed regret for his alleged racist remarks against Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Mr. Singh said if his remarks have hurt anyone’s sentiments including Ms. Gandhi and and Rahul Gandhi he regrets for his words. The Minister said he does not understand what he had said which is against women. He said he never had any such intentions.
Yesterday at Hajipur in Bihar, Mr. Singh wondered whether Congress would have accepted Sonia Gandhi’s leadership if she had not been white skinned.
Meanwhile, BJP has distanced itself from Giriraj Singh’s remarks against Congress President. Party spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said the BJP do not believe in politics of color or caste. He said the party believe in what he called Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas.
