Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of four National Highway projects worth over Rs 3000 Cr.

These include three projects in Bikaner and one in Nagaur District. Union Minister for Road, transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that 24 thousand Km Highways will be constructed in first phase of Bharatmala Project.

Addressing a function at Bikaner today, Mr. Gadkari said that 60 thousand kilometers long highways will be prepared under Bharatmala project in Tribal, backward and border areas.

Mr. Gadkari inaugurated Bikaner-Phalodi Section of NH-15. A sum of Rupees 844 Cr. has been spent on 159 Kilometer long stretch.

Foundation stone of two projects were laid down in the function, which include National Highway from Raisinghnagar to Poogal and Khajuwala to Poogal and Poogal to Naukha-Bap sections of NH-911. At another function in Nagaur, Mr Gadkari inaugurated the project of Salasar-Nagaur section of NH-65. A sum of Rupees 637 has been spent on 212 kilometer long project. These projects will contribute towards improvement of security scenario with better connectivity in border areas.
