National recovery rate improves to 93.08 %

India is witnessing a significant decline in active caseloads and fresh cases of Corona virus. Union Health Ministry said, the recovery rate is continuously improving in the country and it has reached to 93.08 per cent amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic,. During the last 24 hours, over two lakh seven thousand patients recovered from Corona virus disease. So far, over two crore 65 lakh patients have recovered from this infectious disease.
The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said, the active caseload presently comprises 5.73 per cent of the cumulative positive cases and it is continuously declining. At present, there are over 16 lakh 35 thousand active cases in the country. The country is also witnessing a declining trend in the weekly and daily positivity rate. India’s weekly positivity rate currently stands at 7.27 per cent. This is the 11th consecutive day when the country has registered a daily positivity rate less than 10 per cent.
The country registered over one lakh thirty two thousand new COVID cases in the last 24 hours. The Union Health Ministry said, a total of two thousand 713 deaths were reported within last 24 hours, taking the toll to over three lakh 40 thousand across the country.
Meanwhile, testing capacities have been ramped up in the country for the early detection of Corona virus infection. Indian Council of Medical Research has informed that 20 lakh 75 thousand COVID tests were conducted yesterday. So far, over 35 crore 74 lakh tests have been conducted in the country.
