Four Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. A joint team of District Reserve Guard- DRG and Special Task Force- STF was on a search operation in Kukdajhor area of Narayanpur district in Bastar division.
Maoists ambushed the security forces and opened indiscriminate fire in the forest of Gumiyabeda. Security forces retaliated the fire. In this gun battle, four Maoists, including one woman rebel, were killed.
According to AIR, Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Jitendra Shukla said, the bodies of four Naxals and weapons were found at the spot.
