NEW DELHI / HYDERBAD: (AMN) The new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is holding widespread consultations over formation of his cabinet. He has held extensive talks with Union Ministers and AICC observers Gulamnabi Azad and Veerappa Moily on the issue. He also called on former Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Government Advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao over the composition of his Cabinet. He is likely to visit New Delhi on Sunday to seek approval from the party high command.

MLAs are doing hectic lobby to get a place in state ministry. Aspirants intensify their lobbying at Lakeview Guest house where from the new Chief Minister is working in Hyderabad. Some of them including former Ministers are reaching Delhi for lobbying to ensure berths in the new cabinet. Speculations are making rounds that there would be several omissions and inclusions from that of the previous one. The lists of probable are being drawn on the basis of Regions, district wise equations and even on the basis of social groups. While several names are doing the rounds for the Deputy Chief Minister’s post as the AICC Genera Secretary M. Veerappa Moily announced, some of the aspirants are lobbying for the post of Assembly Speaker as the Chief Minister relinquished it. Meanwhile, the new Chief Minister has reviewed implementations of several welfare programmes under different departments. He asked the senior officials to focus on proper and timely disbursements of various welfare schemes. He asked them to come up with plan of action to ensure fruits of welfare schemes to all those who are eligible. He will be meeting the senior officials belonged to All India Services this evening.
