Former Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar has resigned from the primary membership of the party.
In his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Tanwar said, Congress is going through an existential crisis, not because of its political opponents, but because of serious internal contradictions.
Tanwar said, hard-working Congress workers, from non-political and humble families are no longer valued in the party, money blackmail and pressure tactics seem to work.
Tanwar said, Congress has drifted away from its basic principles and ideology, now, the Congress is the anti-thesis of democracy, plagued by feudal attitudes and medieval conspiracies. His decision came after he protested outside party president Sonia Gandhi’s residence with his supporters.
