CBI today arrested former India’s Air Force Chief S P Tyagi in the Agusta Westland helicopter deal case. It has also arrested Tyagi’s cousin Sanjiv Tyagi and a Delhi-based lawyer Gautam Khaitan in the case.
The deal is related to purchase of 12 helicopters for VVIPs from Italian manufacturer, Finmeccanica in 2010 during UPA rule. There are allegations of irregularities in the deal and CBI is investigating the case.
