With rain subsiding in most parts of Maharashtra, the flood situation has started improving as water has started receding from flooded agriculture fields.
Weather Department has, however, predicted medium to heavy rainfall in Marathwada and Konkan region in next 48 hours. Most lakes across the state are full to their capacity with water woes for most part of the year solved.
The water level in reservoirs across drought-hit Marathwada too has reached satisfactory levels. In Mumbai, all seven lakes providing water to the metroplis and suburbs have reached to their fullest capacity.
