Flood situation is gradually improving in Bihar. Most of the rivers are flowing below danger mark. Train services on Darbhanga- Samastipur section has been restored following improvement of flood situation.
Train services on this section were disrupted for five days due to surging water of Bagmati was touching rail bridge between Thalwara and Hayaghat station. Flood-affected people who were taking shelter have returned to their homes.
The state government has ordered to assess damage caused by a devastating flood. Over 88 lakh people spread over 13 districts have been affected by floods.
