Taking a strong note of Bulandshahar gang rape of two women, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has asked DGP to present action plan of Highway patrolling in the state. He also instructed the district and police administration to insure all possible measures to avert such ghastly acts in future which happened in Bulandshahar on 29th July. In a tweet, the Chief Minister said, he will meet the victim family today.
Meanwhile an FIR under relevant sections of the IPC was lodged at Bulandshahar against five accused and three police teams were formed to investigate the case. Three of the accused have already been arrested. A senior police officer said, in order to nab the remaining accused, police teams are conducting search at nearby places including Haryana and Uttrakhand. Taking cognisance of the case, the National Commission for Women members met the women and family in Uttar Pradesh.
A gang of robbers raped a 35-year-old Noida woman and her teenage daughter near Bulandshahr after waylaying the vehicle in which the family of six was travelling on the Delhi-Kanpur highway on 29th July. The Uttar Pradesh government yesterday suspended Bulandshahr SSP Vaibhav Krishan and six others for dereliction of duty. Principal secretary home Debashish Panda said, NSA will be imposed against the culprits involved in the matter.
