Rocket fire at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv resumes; spokesperson says breaches of border barrier to be secured by tanks and aircraft; some 500 reported killed in Strip

The Israel Defense Forces says that in the last few hours, it has struck a number of sites in the Gaza Strip belonging to the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad groups.
The sites include a Hamas munitions warehouse and an entrance shaft to an underground tunnel, and two Islamic Jihad war rooms, one of which was inside a mosque.
The IDF says it has also struck a Hamas vehicle attempting to infiltrate into Israel.
