Former Chief Minister of J & K and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed about the situation in Kashmir.

According to sources, Dr Abdullah briefed the Prime Minister about the prevailing situation in the Valley. This is the NC chief’s first meeting with Mr Modi after winning the Srinagar Lok Sabha bypoll.

The National Conference had recently demanded dismissal of the Mehbooba Mufti-led government and sought President’s Rule in the state.
The Valley has been on the boil since the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani last year.
