Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan has said that the expat population in the UAE are the goodwill ambassadors of India, who play a major role in strengthening the ties of the two countries.
Addressing the Indian community in Dubai yesterday, he said that the strong bonds between India and UAE have been maintained by them in a very positive way.
The Minister said, India is working closely with UAE Government for aligning and developing the skills of the migrant population to the job requirement in the region.
In an informal interaction with the local media, the Minister said that efforts are on to amend the immigration law so that workers will not be exploited by the recruiting agents in the name of job.
