The Election Commission has issued a notice to BRS President and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for violating Model Code of Conduct. Congress had alleged that Mr Rao had made objectionable remarks against the party at a press meet on the 5th of this month in Telangana’s Sircilla.
The Commission has asked the former Telangana Chief Minister to explain his stand regarding his comments by the 18th of this month. It has also directed the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer for a factual report in the matter.
