The Election Commission Team led by Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi will visit patna on September 27 to review preparedness for the first, second and third phase of polls in Bihar.
The first phase of elections will be held on October 12, while the second and third phase will take place on October 16 and October 28.
The Chief Election Commissioner will hold meeting with representatives of different political parties on September 27. Mr. Zaidi will also hold meeting with Chief Electoral Officers of Bihar.
On 20th September the Election Commission will hold review meeting with Commissioner, Inspector General and SSP of those districts where 1st, 2nd and 3rd phase of elections are going to held.
Before leaving Delhi, the Chief Election Commissioner will hold meeting with Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and Director General of Police of the State.
Meanwhile, 248 Candidates have so far filed nominations for the first phase of elections in Bihar which will be held on October 12. Tomorrow is the last day of nominations of this phase.
EC directs IT Dept to probe movement of illegal money in poll bound Bihar
Election Commission has directed the Income Tax Department to make a detailed investigation into alleged movement of illegal money in poll bound Bihar.
The Poll panel directives to Director General Investigation, Income Tax of Delhi and Bihar came in the wake of the sting operations conducted by a television channel highlighting illegal movement of cash in the State.
