The Election Commission, EC has sent a notice to Mumbai BJP Chief Mangal Prabhat Lodha for his alleged communally controversial statement against a particular community and also for flouting the Moral Code of Conduct.
While addressing a campaign rally for Shiv Sena candidate Pandurang Sakpal from Mumbadevi in central Mumbai, on Wednesday, Mangal Lodha associated the minority community with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. The EC has sought a reply from Mangal Lodha over this issue. Congress had sought action from the EC regarding the comments.
