The Election Commission has given another clean chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a complaint concerning alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct during a speech at Patan in Gujarat.
In a statement, the Commission said, a detailed report of the Chief Electoral Officer, Gujarat was obtained and the matter was examined in detail in accordance with the extant advisories and provisions of the Model Code of Conduct.
After examination, the Commission is of the view that no violation of poll norms took place.
