The Election Commission Friday announced poll schedule for three seats of Rajya Sabha from Delhi and one seat from Sikkim. The term of Dr. Karan Singh, Janardan Dwivedi and Parvej Hashmi from Delhi and Hishey Lachungpa from Sikkim is ending on January and February next year.
The commission also announced by-poll to one seat of Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh which was vacant after resignation of the then Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Notification for the polls will be issued on 29th of this month and nominations can be filed till 5th of next month. Polling will be held on 16th of January if necessary.
