A strong 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck at 3:03 this morning at the southern coast. According to the US Geological Survey epicentre of tremor was around 20 kilometre southwest of Pasni in Balochistan province and 90 kilometre south of Turbat at a depth of 10 km off the southern coast of Pakistan.
Pasni has a population of around 400,000 people. There was no immediate report of damage or fatalities from the quake areas.
