Team Anna however is adamant on going ahead with its proposed programme at the same Park at 10 AM Tuesday.

The Delhi police rejected the undertaking given by Team Anna as it refused to accept some of the key conditions set by police.

The police move to reject the application came soon after the Hazare team submitted an undertaking leaving six out of the 22 conditions laid out by Delhi Police for granting permission for the fast at the park.

Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said that the affidavit submitted by Hazare team was incomplete as they did not restrict themselves to the time limit of three days and the number of protestors to 5,000.

The other condition rejected by Anna team include check on Hazare health by government doctors, ban on use of loudspeakers after 9 pm, limiting the number of vehicles to 50 cars and 50 motorcycles in parking and that no tent be erected.

“We have been very accommodating and have given them permission for this park by going out of our way. This is one of the places they wanted too. Now that they have not agreed to our conditions, their entry into this park will be unauthorised and we will take the required legal action,” said Dharmendra Singh, Special CP law and order.

The Delhi Police had offered Jai Prakash Narain Park last week as a venue but had laid out 22 conditions for giving permission for Hazare to sit on protest.

Team Anna however said that they would go to Jai Prakash Narain Park near Ferozeshah Kotla stadium after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

The Delhi Police had offered Jai Prakash Narain Park near Feroz Shah Kotla stadium last week but had laid out 22 conditions for giving permission for Hazare to sit on protest demanding a strong Lokpal Bill.
