Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal on Friday approved the Arvind Kejriwal’s Cabinet decision of the Health Department relating to a provision made for free medico-legal treatment of victims of road accidents, acid attack and purpose.
Calling it a step in the right direction, Mr Baijal also approved the proposal of the Department regarding outsourcing of diagnostic (non-radiological) services, to provide free laboratory services at the Mohalla Clinics, Polyclinics and Mobile Health Clinics in the capital.
In view of the financial implications, Mr Baijal advised that an online system should come into being, based on Aadhar biometric tracking, which will ensure the follow up of patients and prevent malpractices.
