The Delhi High Court today rejected the bail plea of AAP leader Manish Sisodia in the excise policy scam case. The Court said that the allegations against Sisodia are very serious, and the possibility of witnesses being influenced cannot be ruled out.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia is currently in judicial custody in the cases registered by the CBI and the ED. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 this year in the liquor policy case, and was, subsequently, arrested by the ED on March 9 over alleged money laundering in the excise policy.
The allegation is that Sisodia and other members of the AAP connived to authorise liquor licenses to selective traders against bribes.
