Kapil Mishra fielded from Karawal Nagar

The Delhi assembly polls will be held in a single phase on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced the second list of 29 candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.

The party has fielded Kapil Mishra, a former AAP leader, from Karawal Nagar seat. Harish Khurana, the son of former Delhi chief minister Madan Lal Khurana, has been fielded from the Moti Nagar constituency.

The BJP also fielded Priyanka Gautam, who recently joined the party from AAP, from Kondli assembly seat.

The list came after BJP National President JP Nadda held a meeting with the Delhi Assembly Election Management Committee.

With the second list, the party has so far named candidates for 58 seats. On January 4, the BJP announced its first list of 29 candidates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

It has fielded former MP Parvesh Verma from the New Delhi seat against ex-chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

The party has named another former MP, Ramesh Bidhuri, from Kalkaji, where Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi is in the fray.

Manoj Kumar Jindal is the party’s candidate for Sadar Bazar, Satish Jain for Chandni Chowk, Deepti Indora for Matia Mahal, Urmila Kailash Gangwal for Madipur, Shyam Sharma for Hari Nagar, Shweta Saini for Tilak Nagar, Pankaj Kumar Singh for Vikaspuri, Pawan Sharma for Uttam Nagar, Pradyumna Rajput for Dwarka, Sandeep Sehrawat for Matiala, Neelam Pahalwan for Najafgarh, Kuldeep Solanki for Palam, Umang Bajaj for Rajinder Nagar, Neeraj Basoya for Kasturba Nagar, and Rohtas Bidhuri for Tughlakabad.

The last date for filing nominations is January 17.

The date for scrutiny of nominations is January 18 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 20.
