A Delhi court today rejected the transit anticipatory bail pleas of Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa, where a fire last week killed 25 people. The brothers were arrested in Phuket yesterday. Additional Sessions Judge Vandana dismissed the plea. Goa’s counsel opposed the request, saying the Luthras left Goa immediately after the incident and had been evading the legal process, arguing that anticipatory bail cannot be granted to those facing non-bailable warrants and accused of avoiding summons.
