The Winter Session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly has been extended by one day, till tomorrow. Delhi Parliamentary Affairs Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said that due to the disruption by the Opposition for the past two days, the decision to extend the session has been taken. He said that the proceedings of the session were disrupted following Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi’s alleged remarks on the Sikh Guru. Mr Singh added that discussions on the remaining issues, including pollution, will be held tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said that the matter related to the alleged remarks regarding Sikh Gurus and the dignity of the House has been referred to the Committee of Privileges. Mr Gupta also informed that the video recording of this matter has been sent to the forensic laboratory for examination. He has asked the forensic department to submit the report within 15 days.
