Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the overall security scenario in eastern Ladakh. All important aspects of the border row with China in eastern Ladakh were discussed in great detail.
The meeting also deliberated on future course of approach in dealing with the situation. India and China have held several rounds of military and diplomatic talks in the last two-and-half months.
The Ministry of External Affairs this week said both sides had agreed to resolve outstanding issues in an expeditious manner and in accordance with the existing agreements and protocols.
The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Gen MM Naravane, Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh and IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria.
