Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah today visited one thousand bed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid hospital built by DRDO in record time. This hospital was built in just 11 days.
The Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO has decided to name different wards of new Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel COVID-19 Hospital in Delhi after the Indian Army troops who lost their lives in the Galwan valley clash last month. The ICU and Ventilator Ward in the hospital has been named as Col B Santosh Babu Ward.
The centre with one thousand beds is having specialised intensive care unit beds and is fully air-conditioned. The hospital is near airport and will be operated by armed forces.
Talking to reporters, Defence Minister said, more than 250 Intensive Care Units are available in this centre. Mr Singh said, all the guidelines of World Health Organization are being followed in this hospital.
