Senior IAS officer Chetan Sanghi, who probed irregularities at the DDCA, has written to Home Ministry alleging pressure from various stakeholders during the probe. In a letter to the Union Home Secretary a fortnight ago, Mr. Sanghi who is posted in Delhi government, claimed that there was considerable emphasis on naming a certain VIP.

However, he does not name who pressurised him. In the letter, he also sought a central deputation from which he is debarred at present. Detailing the tense period of investigating DDCA case, the officer also mentioned two FIRs filed against him during his tenure at the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.

BJP today said IAS officer Chetan Sanghi’s claim that he was under pressure from various stakeholders during the DDCA probe, has vindicated its stand. Party Secretary Shrikant Sharma alleged that Aam Aadmi Party government was conspiring to tarnish the image of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the matter.

He said Mr. Sanghi’s letter in this regard had exposed the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s low-level politics. Mr. Sanghi, a Principal Secretary in the Vigilance Department, who is now on leave, had written about the alleged pressure in a letter to Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi.
