Global crude oil prices rose yesterday and notched weekly gains as traders remained sceptical about the prospects of a ceasefire in the month-long West Asian conflict. Over the week, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose over one per cent, while Brent crude futures gained 0.3 per cent. Yesterday, WTI surged 5.5 per cent, to close at 99 US dollars and 64 cents per barrel. Brent rallied over 4.2 per cent, to settle at 112 US dollars and 57 cents per barrel.
