India’s dashing batter Yusuf Pathan on Feb 26 announced his retirement from all formats of the game

He played 57 ODIs and 22 T20Is for India between 2007 and 2012. He was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup as well as the 2011 ODI World Cup, both of which were won by the Indian team.

Yusuf played 57 ODIs and 22 T20Is for the country, accumulating 810 runs and 236 runs respectively. One of the highlights of his career in international cricket was his unbeaten 123 against New Zealand in Bangalore in 2010 when India chased down a target of 316. He followed it up with a hundred versus South Africa in Centurion. Yusuf also bowled off-spin and took 46 international wickets.

Yusuf was a member of both the T20 and 50-over World Cup-winning India squads of 2007 and 2011 respectively.

Yusuf was also a part of the Indian Premier League for a period of 12 years, a tournament he won with both Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. He aggregated 3204 runs and bagged 42 wickets in the IPL.
