Chasing a victory target of 420 runs, India were 39 for the loss of one wicket in their second innings at the stumps on the fourth day of the first Test match being played at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Team India needs 381 more runs to win the test on a square turner track on fifth and final day tomorrow.

Earlier, England’s second innings was wound up for 178 runs. For India, R. Ashwin scalped six wickets while Shahbaz Nadeem claimed two wickets. Pacer duo Jasprit Bumrah and Ishant Sharma bagged one wicket each.
