CPI has released list of candidates for 81 seats for different phases of polls of Bihar Assembly election . Party senior leaders and lone sitting MLA Awadhesh Kumar Rai and former MLA Ram Naresh Pandey figured in the list. Mr Rai will contest from Bachwara of Begusarai and Ram Naresh Pandey from Harlakhi of Madhubani district of the state. Six Left parties including CPI, CPI(M) and CPI(ML) have decided to contest all 243 assembly seats jointly.
On the first day of nomination for the first phase of election to be held on October 12 one candidate Naresh Kumar Priyadarshi today filed his nomination as independent candidate from Belhar constituency of Banka district. Meanwhile over Rs 34 lakh has been seized during vehicle checking drive in different parts of the state.
