The Communist Party of India has condemned the arrest of Farooq Abdulla and a number of political leaders in Kashmir. It said that It was so authoritarian and arbitrary that Public Safety Act (PSA) had to be used against Farooq Abdullah.
The CPI demanded the release of all leaders and activists. “People cannot be kept under seize. Government has to engage with political parties and the people so that normalcy is brought back to Kashmir.”
