Over one lakh 21 thousand patients have recovered from corona virus disease within 24 hours. The recovery rate has crossed the landmark figure by crossing the 95 per cent mark. The recovery rate reached 95.07 per cent in the country today. So far, over two crore 79 lakh patients have already recovered from this infectious disease.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has said, the active caseloads presently comprise 3.68 per cent of the cumulative positive cases and it is continuously declining. It said, the country has registered a decline of over 40 thousand active cases in the last 24 hours. At present, there are over 10 lakh 80 thousand active cases in the country.

India’s active caseload declined to less than 11 lakh after 63 days. The country is also witnessing a declining trend in the weekly and daily positivity rate. India’s weekly positivity rate currently stands at 4.94 per cent and daily positivity rate is 4.39 per cent. This is the 19th consecutive day when the country has registered a daily positivity rate less than 10 per cent.

The country has registered a total of 84 thousand 332 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours which is the lowest after 70 days. The Union Health Ministry has said, over four thousand deaths have been reported in the country within 24 hours, taking the toll to over three lakh 67 thousand across the country.

Meanwhile, testing capacities have been ramped up in the country for the early detection of coronavirus. The Indian Council of Medical Research has informed that 19 lakh 20 thousand Covid tests were conducted yesterday. So far, over 37 crore 62 lakh tests have been conducted in the country.
