The country has received 10 per cent more rainfall than the normal limit since 1st to 18th of this month. During the period, the country as a whole received 86.5 millimeter of rainfall as compared to normal rainfall of 78.7 millimeter so far.
Director General of India Meteorological Department, L S Rathore said that the Southwest monsoon is active in different parts of the country due to which rainfall is good.
He said, East ,West and Central region of the country will witness good rainfall for the next ten days as monsoon will remain active during the period. The Met Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Konkan, Goa,Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
