The total number of Corona positive cases has gone up to 231 in Jharkhand, after new positive cases were reported from Gumla, Latehar, West Singhbhum and Lohardaga districts. Out of 24 districts of the state, 19 districts have been affected with COVID-19 infection.
The viral infection is also spreading in the hitherto untouched Green Zone areas of Jharkhand with the return of stranded and migrant labourers. Although there is a slight increase in the number of positive cases detected from different districts of Jharkhand, the recovery rate of patients shows a gradual increase.
The recovery rate of patients in Jharkhand stands at 54.97 per cent. Out of 231 cases detected, 127 people have been cured from the disease, while three patients have succumbed to death.
Health Minister Banna Gupta said that the State Government is working on establishing more COVID-19 testing centres in the state as early as possible. He said that despite we have increased the testing capacity in the state, we shall ensure to test all the migrants and labourers coming from outside the state.
