Maharashtra police has introduced a course on ’emotional intelligence’ (EI) for its personnel to ensure that they adopt a sensitive approach while dealing with unruly situations. Maharashtra’s Director General of Police Satish Mathur has informed that the move will enhance service delivery; improve decision making and build confidence among policemen.
He said Maharashtra Police is first in the country to formally introduce a course in emotional intelligence in its training curriculum, thereby making it integral to the ethos of the state police.
