In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the continuous updation of Electoral Rolls is in progress. The Chief Electoral Officer Shurbir Singh requested the left out electors to enroll themselves in the Electoral Roll till the commencement of the nomination. He further said that the public can enroll any unregistered family members also during the continuous updation period.
For enrollment , Public can file Form 6 which can be obtained from the respective election offices of the constituency. They can enroll online through voterportal.eci.gov.in free of cost. Public may call the toll free number 1950 or through the whatsapp number for Puducherry region 89033 31950, he added.
It may be recalled that the photo electoral rolls released by the Election Department on 20th of January. According to special summery revision of electoral rolls in all the 30 constituencies of the UT, there are about 4,72,736 male and 5,30,828 female voters with 117 third genders.
