Members of main opposition parties staged a walk-out in the Lok Sabha during Home Minister Amit Shah’s reply in the Lok Sabha on the Delhi violence.
The home minister said that the Delhi Police managed to successfully contain the situation after 36 hours of rioting in Delhi’s North East district.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also took the opportunity to urge opposition parties to listen closely to the home minister’s speech in Lok Sabha. “You have the right to express your concerns about the violence in Delhi but must also pay heed to the home minister’s response in Parliament.”
