Congress leader and former Punjab Minister Manpreet Singh Badal on Wednesday joined BJP. He was inducted into the party in the presence of Union Minister Piyush Goyal at BJP headquarters in New Delhi. Welcoming him into the party, Mr. Goyal expressed confidence that BJP will be strengthened in Punjab with his joining.
Earlier, Mr. Badal resigned from the primary membership of the Congress blaming party’s top leaders for factionalism within the party.
