Pema Khandu has been elected as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Arunachal Pradesh, party sources said. Mr Khandu has replaced Chief Minister Nabam Tuki. Mr Khandu is son of former Chief Minister late Dorjee Khandu.

This was decided during a meeting of the CLP as 43 Congress MLAs attending it.

Now, the floor test in the Assembly will be held today afternoon. It is also said that Chief Minister has accepted to step down from his post.
