Continuing its attack on Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju for allegedly trolling Gurmehar Kaur, the daughter of Kargil martyr Mandeep Singh, the Congress today demanded his resignation.
Addressing reporters here, AICC spokesperson Manprit Badal said, ”It is the duty of the government to protect a martyr’s daughter. Instead, the Minister questioned her credentials which is really unfortunate. We demand the resignation of the Minister for his trolling of Gurmehar.”
On Mr Rijiju’s statement that those supporting Gurmehar were dividing the country, he said, ”It is this government which is dividing the country.”
