Cold wave conditions in Himachal Pradesh intensified as minimum temperature dropped on to two notches acorss the state after recent fresh snowfall. However, weather remaind dry in most parts of the state. Maximum and minimum temperatures dropped at most places as icy winds swept through the state.
The minimum temperature of 7 cities of the state has been recorded below zero degree.
Lahaul-Spiti’s administrative centre Keylong remained the coldest place in the state at minus 10.3 degrees Celsius followed by kalpa in Kinnaur district with minus 6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Dalhousie, Manali, Kufri, Solan and Bhuntar also settled at below zero degree Celsius.
According to weather department ground frost conditions and cold wave are likely to occur at isolated pockets of plain areas of the state today, as well. However, weather will contune to remain dry in the state.
