US Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have postponed their respective poll campaigns in the aftermath of America’s deadliest mass shooting in Orlando. They have also offered prayers and support to the victims of the horrific massacre.
The Clinton Campaign said because of the tragic attack in Orlando, the June 15 Hillary for America campaign event with President Obama is postponed.
The former secretary of state pushed for gun control and reached out to the LGBT community. Republican presidential nominee Trump also postponed one of his major campaign events scheduled for tomorrow in New Hampshire and offered words of support to the victims.
Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando. A statement issued by Ban’s spokesperson said the Secretary-General condemns the horrific attack. He also extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and expressed solidarity with the Government and people of the United States.
