Justice Dipak Mishrais likely to take over as the new Chief Justice of India. The incumbent Chief Justice J S Khehar has recommended the name of Justice Mishra to succeed him, government sources said.
The Chief Justice’s missive to the government comes in response of a letter from Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on this.
Justice Mishra’s appointment would come into effect – once cleared by the government and the President after
Justice Khehar retires on August 27.
