Home Minister Rajnath Singh today expressed hope that the Doklam issue will be resolved soon. Addressing ITBP Pipping ceremony in New Delhi today, Mr Singh said, he hopes that China on its part will make a positive move and a resolution to the dispute.

The Minister said, he wants to tell all the neighbours that India wants peace and not confrontation. He said, in life one can change friends, but one can not change neighbours and therefore good relations with neighbours is very important.

He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called all the neighbours for his swearing in ceremony and it was not just to shake hands but to have a healthy relation with all neighbours.

Mr Singh conveyed that India is not aggressive and has never initiated an attack and it would not compromise on its security. He said, Indian security forces have all the power to protect Indian borders. He said there is no power in the world which can attack India.

Lauding the ITBP for it’s work Sino-Indian Border, the Home Minister said, Government is looking at resolving other other issues of ITBP relating to promotion and housing.
