The official death toll from the Novel Corona virus outbreak in Hubei province, China rose by 121 on Friday bringing the total death toll to nearly 1,500.

The Hubei’s Provincial Health Commission today said that nearly 5,000 new confirmed cases reported yesterday. The National Health Commission said, the total number of confirmed Corona virus cases on national level soared up to 65,000.

Most of the deaths occurred in Wuhan, the province’s capital where the Corona virus is believed to have originated.

The increase in cases came after health authorities started counting cases diagnosed through new clinical methods. At least 27 countries have confirmed cases and several nations have evacuated their citizens from Hubei.

Three deaths have been recorded outside China, one in Hong Kong one in the Philippines, and one in the Japan. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned the virus poses a grave threat to the world.
