Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane made a whirlwind visit to Leh, today. In his half day visit, General Naravane visited forward posts on Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh region.
General Naravane visited forward areas in Eastern Ladakh region including Rechin La and undertook a first-hand assessment of the situation along the LAC.
He was briefed by the GoC of Fire and Fury Corps Lieutenant General PGK Menon and other local commanders on the operational preparedness of the forces.
Army Chief also visited Tara base and interacted with the troops deployed in forward areas in Chuchul sector, and exhorted all ranks to continue working with same zeal and enthusiasm.
He appreciated their high morale and state of readiness.
On the occasion, he also distributed sweets and cakes on the eve of Christmas.
